British Petroleum (BP) West Coast Products LLC (aka: Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO))

Located off of Highway 30 near Linnton, the high-priority ARCO facility is the subject of ODEQ early action cleanup.  Historically used as a petroleum products storage and transport facility, the primary contaminants discovered at the site by ODEQ were diesel fuel and gasoline.  Because groundwater flowing past the facility flows directly into the Willamette, the primary threat from the site was contamination of the river channel by groundwater migration.  Removal action to cleanup these petroleum products began in May 2007 and was completed in November 2008.
