Premiere Edible Oils
This 18.5 acre, former industrial site primarily contains petroleum hydrocarbons, particularly BTEX and other petroleum-based VOCs. Adjacent water samples identified the presence of other hazardous substances such as mercury, cobalt, antimony, barium, PAHs, zinc, copper, manganese, arsenic, carbazole, dibenzofuran, methylnaphthalene, and phthalates.
The source of the contamination is unclear and the subject of various studies, however, it is clear that the site is a direct and complete pathway of groundwater contamination into the Willamette.
Various control measure are currently being studied by DEQ and the site owner.
