A couple of items of interest for the Portland Harbor Superfund Site:
On March 12, 2010 EPA mailed general notice letters to 12 potentially responsible parties to notify them of their potential liability for response costs being incurred at the Portland Harbor Superfund Site.   These notice letters explain the recipients potential liability and provide them with information about a mediated allocation process.  Click here to view a current list of all 103 parties who have received a general notice letter since the site was listed.  EPA will continue to issue notice letters as part of its ongoing search and identification of parties that may have responsibility for paying for the cleanup.

Background information on Superfund general notice letters is available at:  http://www.epa.gov/compliance/cleanup/superfund/notice.html
