The PHCAG, Braided River Campaign, and many others have shared hundreds of stories about the lives that have been affected by Portland Harbor, the Willamette River, CEI Hub, Guilds Lake, and North Portland. However, this month we give thanks and gratitude to the early trailblazers that put in the hard work starting a community advisory group 22 years ago, the many years and hours on lower Willamette upland projects, and who worked feverishly to protect wildlife and community in this incredible ecological diverse area between two great rivers.
Come and listen about the early days of the harbor clean-up, the obstacles and victories, and how they brought the community together to demand a cleaner, safer river and harbor for Portland and the region.
Tonights “Trail Blazers of Portland’s Superfund” are:
- Travis Willams- Executive Director at Willamette Riverkeeper
- Jim Robison- Business Manager at Forward Support.
- Katy Weil- Senior Natural Resource Scientist at Metro.
- Bob Salinger-Conservation Director for Portland Audubon
