Portland Harbor Community Coalition (PHCC) and York Collective invite you to take part in a special Film Showcase and book launch that highlights cultural connections, environmental justice, and community resilience. This event is hosted by PHCC Core Member Black Men in Training (B.M.I.T) and MC’d by artist and activist Mic Crenshaw of Education Without Borders.

“Blue River: A Call to Heal the Willamette” Produced by Tule Films & PHCC, this film explores the deep cultural and ecological ties to the Willamette River and the urgent need for restoration.
“Remembering York” Created by University of Oregon students & the York Collective, this film honors the legacy of York, an enslaved man who played a pivotal role in the Lewis and Clark Expedition, and his lasting impact on history.
Panelist Q&A: Take a deeper dive on the content shared with those who composed the films showcased, a chance for better understanding, and voices to be heard.
Book Release of “Green City Rising”: Dr. Erin Goodling presents her latest work, exploring environmental justice, urban change, and the power of community-led movements.
